Light Source with Deuterium and Halogen Lamps

Light Source with Deuterium and Halogen Lamps
The illuminator works in the range 190-3500 nm contains deuterium lamp Hamamatsu L2D2 (or DDS-30) and Osram 12V, 20W, to obtain a continuous spectrum in the range 190-3500 nm. Lamps are switched by means of a rotary mirror controlled either by an external toggle switch or from the program of monochromator MDR-204 (MDR-206). The convenience of this illuminator is that it has a mirror condenser that projects an enlarged image of the luminous body of the radiation source on the entrance slit of the monochromator. This means that this illuminator does not require an additional optical system to focus radiation on the slot. Power supplies ensure long-term stable operation of the lamps. On request, this illuminator can only be equipped with one of the lamps: either deuterium or halogen.
