Photon Counter is used in conjunction with the photon counting PMT and allows the registration of light signals so weak that conventional photo detectors can not distinguish the useful signal from noise.
The photon counting method can be used in various scientific and industrial fields: in spectroscopy, fluorescent microscopy, lidar space research and many others.
Photon Counter is connected to the photomultiplier tube through the inputs:
1 input TTL 1.8 GHz
2 input TTL 0.9 GHz
3 input NIM 350 MHz
Photon Counter counts all the pulses whose amplitude exceeds the value selected by the discriminator threshold.
